We created an interactive experiment that anybody can enjoy, regardless of musical ability, using a machine-learning model trained on the voices of four opera singers. 16 hours of vocals were recorded by tenor Christian Joel, bass Frederick Tong, meow-soprano Joanna Gamble, and soprano Olivia Doutney. You hear the machine learning model's interpretation of what opera singers sound like instead of their actual voices during the test instead of what it learned from them.
How to play
To adjust the height, simply drag the colors up and down. or backward and forth for various vowels. Using yet another machine learning model, colors may react to and complement your input in real-time.
